Coach Application

If you are looking to coach for the upcoming 2018 - 2019 hockey season, please complete the online Coaching Application form.  A couple of things to note before you fill out your online application.

  1. Do you have a Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) number?  If you've coached minor hockey before in Canada, you do.  Please login to your eHockey account to find your HCR number.  If you don't have a HCR Number, one will automatically be set up for you upon completing your Respect in Sport - Coach. Once your Respect in Sport-Coach is completed; you will need to create an eHockey account or attach you HCR number to the family account that was set up during your child's registration.
  2. Do you have your Coach Respect In Sport Number?  This RIS number is transferable from other sports, please review our Respect in Sport - Coach website page for information.
  3. Do you have the correct certification for the position you are applying for?  Please refer to the Certification website page for information.  McKnight offered Coach level 1, Coach level 2 and Checking Clinics registration is available now.
  4. ***New***  McKnight will reimburse the following clinics if they are taken through McKnight. If you do not take these courses through McKnight you will not be reimbursed unless otherwise approved by the Coach Qualification Administrator. All other certifications that apply for reimbursements will be reimbursed.

  5. Do you have a Police Information check?  If not, you will need to get it completed prior to coaching.  Please refer to the Police Information Check website page for information.
