Do you require financial assistance?
Families that require financial assistance may apply to one of the below stated programs. Hockey Calgary provides funding only through the Flames Even Strength Program application. You will be required to complete your FESP application online and submit it directly to Hockey Calgary.
FESP funding for 2020 - 2021 is set at a maximum of $700.00. U21 players that are born in 2002 are able to apply for FESP funding. All other U21 players do not qualify.
Based on the maximum, if you are applying for financial assistance you are required to pay your portion of the registration fees owing, upon registration. Please see below:

Please see the Payments tab for the ways that you can pay.
** Please Note ** Some programs deny you the ability to apply for more than one funding resource. Please ensure that you apply for funding through FESP, this is the program that is mandated by Hockey Calgary.
Flames Even Strength Program/KidSport:
The Flames Even Strength Program helps families cover the cost of hockey registration fees thanks largely to title sponsor, the Calgary Flames - Flames Foundation for Life. This program has given away more than $2,300,000.00 to children in need since 1998. Families who want to apply for this funding must complete the online FESP form.
** The application process for the 2020 - 2021 season will open July 1, 2020. When time the process is an online form submitted directly to Hockey Calgary for review. Other available programs:
One in three Canadian families cannot afford to enroll their children in sport and recreation activities because of financial barriers (Ipsos Reid, 2009). That means that many kids are missing out.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart is dedicated to removing barriers, so children can participate in organized sport and recreation.
We see it as equipping kids for life, because participation in organized sport and recreation increases a child's chance for success in life.
They discover and participate. They gain self-confidence. They develop self-esteem. They learn leadership skills. Their lives become richer. This is the power of Canadian Tire Jumpstart. For more information please click here.
